After a PTSI\/PT preparatory course in Normandy, I chose IPSA for its 100% aeronautics and space specialization, a field that has always fascinated me. I’ve always been fascinated by flying and airplanes, and was lucky enough to take my first flights at a very young age. This passion naturally led me to IPSA.

As soon as I arrived, I was integrated into a rich and dynamic student life. I joined Dreamage IPSA, the photo\/video association, of which I was president. This enabled me to experience the school from the inside, develop my project management skills and capture all the great moments in the lives of Ipsalians.

I also had the opportunity to spend a semester in Manchester, at the University of Salford, studying mechatronics. This international experience was a real plus, both in human and technical terms.

As far as internships are concerned, I’ve twice worked for Air France’s Operations Division at Orly, once as an operational performance engineer. These experiences confirmed my desire to evolve in this sector.
My goal? To become an airline pilot. Thanks to IPSA, I feel ready to make this dream a reality with a solid technical base. For those who are still hesitating: if you’re passionate about aeronautics, IPSA is for you.

My name is Nathan Launay. After a scientific baccalaureate, I attended two years of PTSI\/PT preparatory classes in Normandy. I’m currently in my fifth year at IPSA, where I’m specializing in industrial project management. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Following my preparatory course, I wanted to enter an engineering school that was entirely focused on aeronautics, my lifelong passion. IPSA was a natural choice, thanks to its 100% aerospace focus. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by flying, airplanes and travel. I started flying at a very young age, with first flights, gliding, microlighting and private aviation. These experiences have fueled a passion that continues to grow every day. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

IPSA has an exceptional student life. Even when I arrived in my third year, I was immediately integrated into this big family that is the Ipsalian community. The richness and diversity of the associations create a dynamic, friendly and highly formative atmosphere. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The BDE campaigns are one of our most memorable moments. It’s a major event every year, where the different lists compete in a festive and constructive atmosphere to become the future Bureau des \u00c9l\u00e8ves. I learned the importance of teamwork, commitment and creativity. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Yes, I’ve been part of the Dreamage IPSA association for three years. It’s the school’s photo\/video association, whose aim is to immortalize all the highlights of student life: association events, parties, projects, sports activities, galas, integration weekends, Ovalies, etc. I’ve also had the opportunity to be president for a year. Yes, I was lucky enough to spend four months in Manchester, England, for a semester at the University of Salford, where I studied mechatronics. This stay enabled me to broaden my technical skills, discover English student life and immerse myself in a new culture. I also took the opportunity to travel, exploring several regions of England and joining friends in Romania for a weekend. This international experience has given me a lot on a human, cultural and professional level. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Yes, I did two internships during my engineering studies at IPSA. My first, in my fourth year, was at Air France’s Direction G\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Op\u00e9rations (DGO), at Orly airport, as a project manager. It was a revelation. For my final year internship, I chose to return to the same department, where I now hold the position of engineer in charge of operational performance at Orly airport. I’m working on the deployment of optimization methods to improve the efficiency of operations. These internships have been very formative and have confirmed my professional orientation. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

After graduating in engineering, my goal is to become an airline pilot. It’s a long-held dream, born of my passion for flying and aviation. Thanks to my training at IPSA, I’ve acquired a solid technical base that will enable me to take this next step with an in-depth knowledge of the aeronautical sector. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
