The AI and cybersecurity engineer for embedded systems works on the design, security and optimization of intelligent systems integrated into critical devices, such as aircraft, satellites, drones or autonomous vehicles.

He/she is responsible for implementing artificial intelligence technologies to improve the autonomy and performance of systems, while ensuring their protection against cyber threats.

Main tasks

Development of AI algorithms for embedded systems

Design and implement artificial intelligence algorithms (machine learning, deep learning) adapted to the constraints of embedded systems (computing power, memory, etc.).
Optimize neural networks, recognition systems and decision-making algorithms for vehicle autonomy and real-time data management.
Integrate AI solutions for sensor data processing, autonomous navigation, anomaly detection or performance optimization.

Securing embedded systems against cyberthreats

Develop cybersecurity solutions to protect embedded systems against potential attacks (intrusion, interference, data falsification).
Carry out vulnerability analyses of embedded systems and propose defense mechanisms (cryptography, authentication, intrusion detection).
Develop resilience systems capable of maintaining a high level of security even in the event of an attack.

Embedded systems design and validation

Participate in the design of robust and secure embedded systems, integrating AI modules while complying with industry regulatory requirements (DO-178C, ISO 26262, etc.).
Ensure the integration of AI algorithms and cybersecurity solutions within embedded systems, and test their effectiveness in simulated or real environments.
Validate the performance of embedded systems through rigorous laboratory and field tests.

Monitoring and predictive maintenance

Develop predictive maintenance systems using AI algorithms to identify potential breakdowns before they occur.
Integrate security monitoring solutions to detect and neutralize cyberattacks in real time.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

Work closely with software development, systems engineering and security teams to ensure smooth integration of AI and cybersecurity technologies into embedded systems.
Participate in AI and cybersecurity R&D projects to anticipate future developments in the sector and develop innovative solutions.

Technical skills

Mastery of machine learning algorithms, deep learning and data processing techniques for embedded systems.

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity protocols (cryptography, firewalls, intrusion detection) and security standards (DO-326A, ISO/IEC 27001).

Experience with real-time systems, microcontrollers and constrained environments (limited computing power, low latency).

Proficiency in programming languages used for embedded systems and AI (C/C++, Python, TensorFlow, etc.).

Ability to solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions in constrained environments.

Analytical skills to anticipate threats and secure embedded systems proactively.
