Gaspar KLUCKERS

My name is Gaspar Kluckers, I’m in my second year at IPSA Toulouse and I’m also pursuing a high-level career in athletics, specializing in the 1500 meters. Before coming to IPSA, I followed a sports-study program in Luxembourg and obtained a Bac with a specialization in Mathematics and Computer Science.
I’ve always had a passion for space, and for a long time I hesitated between astrophysics and engineering. In the end, I opted for a more practical path, focusing on technological applications such as satellite design and launch. IPSA was an obvious choice, reinforced by positive feedback from a friend studying in Paris.
The atmosphere at IPSA is friendly, and the small size of the classes encourages mutual support. Even with my busy sports schedule, I’ve always found a good balance thanks to the support of my fellow students.
A key project for me was the AERO1 Major Project: the design of an aquaponics system, which was then tested on an analog astronaut base in Poland. An enriching experience, from modeling to manufacturing.
I haven’t had any internships or international experience yet, but I’m actively preparing myself thanks to the modules offered by the school. My objective is clear: to become an engineer in the space sector, while pursuing my sporting career.
For those considering the IPSA, I’d advise them to define their objectives carefully. The school offers many opportunities, but also demands a real commitment. With motivation and the right support, anything is possible.
