Physics & AstroPhysics (PAP)

Observe, model and understand the Universe and its fundamental laws

The Physics & Astrophysics (PAP) research team at IPSA, a leading aeronautics and space school, is at the crossroads of cosmology, celestial mechanics and fundamental physics.

In astrophysics and astrometry, his work aims to position celestial bodies, both natural and artificial, with extreme precision, using fine observations to better understand the dynamics of gravitational systems.

Through the physical and dynamic characterization of small solar system bodies, or the study of the interaction of neutrinos with atomic nuclei, the PAP team is committed to exploring the origins of the cosmos, the laws that govern it and the potential risks that threaten it.

THE GOALS
Constraining solar system formation scenarios
Refining the prediction of near-Earth asteroid trajectories
Detecting as yet unknown physical phenomena
Contribute to a better understanding of fundamental interactions in the Universe
